Enjoy a relaxing paddle down the river – maybe you’ll find some hidden fishing gems along the way! We can arrange for you to be picked up from the property and taken to your starting point, where kayaks and all equipment will be provided.

Horse Riding

There are several horse riding places located in and around Jamieson and Mansfield – the closest to Mansfield is Watsons Trail rides offering anything from one hour rides to 2 day rides.

Craig’s Hut

Enjoy a historic outing to Craig’s Hut. Originally built in 1984 as a set for the movie “The Man from Snowy River” and rebuilt in 1993 after the original hut was destroyed by bushfire. A great place to enjoy panormaic views of the ranges.
Please note: Access by vehicle is not possible from June to November due to seasonal track closures.

There are various hikes and walks in and around the rivers, hills and valleys of the Jamieson Region, including self-guided historical walks, hiking paths and bush-walking tracks. As a gateway to the Alpine National Park, spectacular Alpine walks are nearby.

The region offers a variety of 4WD tracks and trails suitable for different levels of experience and vehicle capabilities. 

4WD tracks vary, including some challenging river crossings, steep climbs and rocky sections, and more accessible routes with views of the mountains, beautiful scenery and camping spots.

Mt Buller

Located just 40 minutes from Five Rivers Fly Fishing, Mount Buller is one of Australia’s premier ski destinations boasting spectacular views and pristine slopes. Mt Buller boasts the largest lift network of the Victorian ski resorts with 22 lifts to cover the 300 hectares of skiable terrain. Downhill ski runs are available for all ski and snowboard ability levels with 45% of the mountain suitable for the intermediate skier. There are also three terrain parks, each designed for different skill levels and two toboggan parks with dedicated snowmaking machines for plenty of snow play fun. Spring and summer is also a spectacular time to visit with multiple hiking trails, mountain biking and 4 wheel driving trails.
